As per the SFUFA Constitution and By-Laws, the Executive Committee is comprised of a President, Vice President and nine Directors, all elected by the membership. The Director positions will include one Director,  Teaching Appointments, one Director, Librarian and Archivists, one Director, Human Rights and Equity at one Director, Community Relations, who shall represent the Association at various University Committees as determined by the Executive.

The ultimate authority of the organization is always its members, who may provide direction to the Executive through duly-constituted referenda or votes, or through a vote at a duly-constituted meeting of the Association.
